Josh McFarland, Founder & CEO
While serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Greylock Partners, Josh worked with Mark to incubate TellApart and also advised the firm in the areas of consumer Internet products and their monetization. Prior to this, he spent over five years at Google as a lead Product Manager on many of its advertising platforms including AdWords, Audio Ads and Google's display ads efforts. He has held senior product management roles at a number of top venture-backed startups and earned his Bachelor's degree with distinction in Economics at Stanford, where he was a Mayfield Fellow.
Mark Ayzenshtat, Founder & CTO
In the nine months leading to TellApart's founding, Mark was also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Greylock Partners. Prior to this, he was a Senior Software Engineer for four years at Google, having started and led several high profile projects including the Android Marketplace, the AdWords API, and natural language processing-based improvements within the core Search Quality team. Mark earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Josh and Mark worked together closely at Google too, founding the AdWords API team in 2004. This team brought to market the world's largest commercial API, which today interacts with well over half of Google's total revenue and in late 2008 won Google's prestigious all-company EMG Award.
TellApart is funded by Greylock Partners, one of the world's top venture capital firms whose current portfolio includes Facebook, LinkedIn, Pandora, and ZipCar. Founded in 1965, Greylock has funded and helped build several hundred successful companies, with over 150 IPOs and more than 100 profitable M&A events.

David Rosenblatt, former CEO of DoubleClick, is also an executive advisor.
James Slavet, Board Member
James Slavet led Greylock's investment in TellApart and currently serves on our Board of Directors. Having joined Greylock in 2006, James is focused on investing in the consumer Internet, software, and digital media sectors, and his current portfolio also includes Auditude, High Gear Media, Kongregate, and Redfin.
Prior to Greylock, James worked in operating roles in both established and startup consumer technology businesses. He was a Vice President/General Manager in the Search & Marketplace business unit at Yahoo!. He was founder/COO of Guru, on online recruitment company, acquired by Unicru – Kronos (KRO); he worked out of Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers as the first employee of online commerce company Drugstore.com (DSCM); and he served in product management and new business development roles for Wired, an internet/media company, acquired by Conde Nast and Lycos.
