Josh McFarland
Josh co-founded TellApart with more than 10 years of advertising technology and start-up experience behind him. Prior to TellApart, Josh served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Greylock Partners, where TellApart was incubated, and he also advised the firm in the areas of consumer Internet products and their monetization. Prior to Greylock, Josh spent more than five years at Google as a lead product manager on many of its advertising platforms, including AdWords, Audio Ads and Google’s display ads efforts. He has held senior product management roles at a number of top venture-backed start-ups and earned a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Economics at Stanford, where he was a Mayfield Fellow.

Tom Cheli
Tom comes to TellApart with more than a decade of experience in building and managing sales, marketing and operations teams. Previously, Tom was EVP of Operations at QuinStreet, Inc., one of the largest Internet marketing and media companies in the world. Tom held multiple executive roles during his 12-year tenure at QuinStreet and helped to lead the company through their IPO in 2010. Prior to QuinStreet, Tom held multiple sales management positions at companies including Merck, Collagen Aesthetics, Inc. and Akorn Ophthalmics. Tom holds a B.A. in Sports Medicine from the University of the Pacific.

Julie Black
Julie comes to TellApart with years of engineering leadership experience. Previously, she was at Google where she led numerous software development teams in both the search and display ads organizations. Julie held several roles at Google, including engineering manager, technical lead and senior software engineer. Julie has also held roles in both business development and product management, creating partnership and development strategies for key Google products and programs. Julie holds both an MS and a BS (conferred with distinction) in Computer Science from Stanford and a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
